"औरंगजेबाने शहाजहानाचा खून करून आपल्या बापाच्या वधाचा सूड घेतला"असे लिहिल्याबद्दल छड्या मारून. गणिताच्या सरांचे डोऴे पाहिले की शास्त्राच्या सराचे "सूर्य स्वत: भोवती आग ओकत गोल फिरतो" हे वाक्य आठवायचे. गणिताची भिती निर्माण व्हायचे हे कारण. शास्त्राचे सरांना स्वत:लाच भूगोल विषय आवडायचा. ते हातात शस्त्र (छडी) घेऊन भूगोलाच्या गप्पा मारायचे. त्यमुऴे भूगोल व शास्त्र दोन्ही विषय नावडते झाले. #कॉमर्स शाखेकडे मी उपरनिर्देशित गुरूजनांच्या कामगिरीमुऴे ढकलला गेलो आणि पुढे #बेहेरेजक्लासेस वगैरे जमले. गरवारे कॉमर्स कॉलेजचे प्राचार्य चिरमुले सरांनी "मंडल कमिशनच्या नियमांमुऴे कॉलेजमध्ये नोकरी मिऴणे अशक्य आहे व तू क्लासेसच काढ "असा मौलिक सल्ला दिला.मी तसा निर्णय घेतल्यावर डॉ. अशोक जोशी, केऴकर, भागवत, गोखले सरांनी प्रोत्साहन दिले. लायब्रिअन नातू सरांनी चर्चा करून मनोबल दिले. क्लासेस रॉक्ड फॉर थर्टी इयर्स' त्याचे मुख्य कारण म्हणजे मराठी व इंग्रजी या भाषांवर निर्माण झालेले प्रभुत्व. S. S. C. पर्यंत इंग्रजी चांगले तयार झाले असेल तर S. S. C. ला कितीही कमी मार्कस् असतील तरी कॉमर्स शाखेत यशस्वी होता येते. इंग्रजी साक्षात वडिलांनी तीन वर्षे घरीच कठोर पद्धतीने शिकवले. तर्खडकर पाठमाला पाठ करून घेतली. रोज वीस इंग्रजी ओऴींचे मराठीत भाषांतर व त्या मराठीकरण केलेल्या आोऴींचे उलटे इंग्रजीकरण ते करायला लावायचे. इंग्रजी बरे जमत होते. पुढे डाके सरांनी व नंतर शाम जोशी सरांनी फिनिशिंग टचेस दिले. मराठीवर संस्कार सु. द. तांबे सरांनी इतके मायेने केले की त्यांच्या वर्गात "आपण सरस्वती दरबारात बसलो आहोत" असा भास व्हायचा.किंबहुना तांबे सरांमुळे च मी खेड्यातून पुणे शहरात 11वी S. S. C. साठी येण्यास आकर्षित झालो व #पुणेकर झालो. तांबे सर जीवनात आले नसते तर मी कदाचित शेतीही करत असतो. Beyond the above guides and philosophers #LIFE, an invisible guru has taught me a lot. I stopped teaching. I couldn't stop learning because life didn't stop teaching. I learnt a lot through the books ..academic and of literature. I consider Hon. Nani palkhiwalla, , Charles T Horngen, पु. ल. देशपांडे, व. पु. काऴे as my gurus. While playing cricket I learnt how to keep patience, how to plan for a win and how to fight against odds and keep fighting even while you are not winning. My cricketing guru was RAJABHAU OKE. The only person.who tried to teach me a lot but I never learnt has been my #WIFE. She had come into my life as a student and tried to teach by virtue of getting a marital right. But I proved the dictum right... "TEACHERS ARE VERY POOR LEARNERS."
