With the HSC Board Exams fast approaching everybody must be aiming to score full marks in Book Keeping and Accountancy. So here are a few tips for you to get the best out of your favourite subject. We will consider that you have attended the classes for Accounts in your college or your coaching classes and have solved a few questions of each topic and have understood maximum concepts. So now we can give you a detailed guidance for studying in last 2 months before the Exam. 2 months before the Exam 1) Accounts shall be studied for atleast 1 to 2 hrs everyday. 2) Since the Exam is very near it is the time for you to decide questions of which topics are you going to solve in the Exam (eg: Admission or Retirement, Dissolution or shares) and thus only focus on the chosen topics. 3) Study each topic in detail by - Reading the theory from the HSC Board Text Book - Detailed reading and understanding the solved examples - Solving the unsolved examples 4) Highlight the postings and adjustments in which you are making mistakes. 5) Prepare flashcards of Formats of each topic and Important adjustments. 6) Read objective type questions of all lessons from HSC Board Text Book. 7) Keep solving past papers atleast once a week in 3 hours itself. 8) Plan the 3 hours of your exam paper that is in what time will you solve the question of each topic in Exam and practice sums accordingly. The day before Exam 1) Only revise the Highlighted postings and adjustments in which you were making mistakes. 2) Go through the objective type questions of all lessons from HSC Board Text Book. 3) Refer the flashcards you prepared. 4) Solve only one sum of each topic to build your confidence level. During the Exam 1) Be calm and composed. 2) Question of your favourite topic to be solved first, 2nd favourite to be solved second and continue it for entire paper (please note - questions can be solved in any order) 3) Do not read all questions right at the beginning of the paper, read them as and when you are done with the earlier question. 4) Keep a track of time as planned. 5) Do not panic due to a few tricky adjustments. Please remember a 2 marks adjustment should not cost you 20-30 more marks due to your panic attack. 6) Attempt each and every question with correct format and good presentation.
